yahoo! way to go Cean!
Congratulations on another top ten, with this wonderful and witty design. I get an Edward Gorey vibe from this also.
Cean this is just so wonderful! There is something about it that reminds me of Edward Gorey. Congrats on the top ten!
Congratulations on another great design!
Congrats on a great design!
Hooray Cean! Fabulouso!
Huge congrats on top ten! I love paw-prints background - reminds me of my kitchen floor! (except kids have made the prints at my house..)
Man, I must have not commented on poetry yet?! I love these guys (esp the one with the underbite:) - such a great design--definitely a fav and top 10er!
Well done on top ten! This is such a lovely illustrative design :)
Thanks everybody! I'm thrilled Macavity snuck his way into the top ten!
Your sketches are incredible- congratulations!
Congrats on top ten Cean, properly fantastic design!

Congratulations on placing in the top ten, Cean!
congratulations on top 10!
Congrats on 5th Place!
Congratulations on top 10 Cean!
Love these kitties! Congrats!
You've got such a narrative lyrical bent to your designs that these kinds of contests were made for you!! Too fun! :D
Very very good! I love each cat's character! Beautifully illustrated...
Oh my! Macavity is wonderfully evil looking. Definitely the feline Professor Moriarty; and very funny that he is right above their heads, sitting with the owls. What a hoot!
And Stagemother, too! (must have cross posted)
Thanks Patty, Jo and Mariao!
Love, love the paw prints!
you're a master! I love your drawing so much!
This is a wonderful design Cean, I totally agree with Patty - it has such a great narrative to it, your illustrations are fabulous as usual, especially loving the cat hiding out in the tree with the owls! and the inclusion of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, a fantastic touch! Also loving the telltale paw prints tying it all together! fab!
Your fabrics are so wonderfully narrative, Cean, I feel like I should be able to turn the page and continue the story!
Wow, thanks everybody! Macavity has always been one of my favorite poems. I memorized it when I was a kid (Many of your dork alarms are probably ringing right now), so it was a quick decision when this theme came up what I would do. I'm glad you like it, and my favorite is that fat cat, Mungojerrie, too! T.S. Eliot really knows how to names cats!
as usual wonderful Cean. I love it
Love the illustrations! The cats are wonderful.
Oh wow! Fabulous as always, Cean! :)
Clever and excellently executed. Love the paw prints.
totalement extraordinaire je suis bluffée
totally gorgeous Cean ~ can't wait to see this printed! love it! xxx
yeah, love fatty fangs...great work cean.
Hee hee, love those cats! Great choice and I'm loving those paw prints!
The fat fang-faced cat is my favorite. Love T.S. Elliot. Sweet job!
Oh, those cat expressions are priceless! I've got the feeling Sherlock is not gonna catch this particular miscreant. Nice job!
Cean, this is a fantastic design commemorating the fiendish feline exploits of Macavity! T.S. Eliot is one of my own favourite poets and this poem is one that I read when quite young! I had to chuckle when I saw those pattering paw prints wending their nefarious way around your design! We have a cat that leaves such evidence of her visitations. She firmly believes that nowhere is out of bounds to her if she can nose her way into that space! The inclusion of the famous duo of Victorian era sleuths adds another purrtinent literary allusion to this clever design!
Your cat characters and the silver and gold palette are so wonderful! Really love all the little paws connecting the scenes too :)
I love that poem!
