Detail of an old building at Sedan in South Australia. While my husband tried to get the car exhaust mended I wandered around taking photographs of some of the old buildings, many deserted. The car was eventually mended with a bush mechanic's "part": a drinks can, both ends removed, "fitted" and wired on over the cracked exhaust (much admired by later mechanics). I feel that this design has potential use as a theatre backdrop. © Su Schaefer 2011
