I make a simple drawing to describe a folk tale from Indonesia about Banyuwangi. Banyuwangi means water that has good smell. Banyuwangi itself is a name of a river in Indonesia. There is a story why it called Banyuwangi. Once upon a time there is a couple of husband and wife. Then the husband go to other areas for something to do, the wife pregnant right before he left. The husband's sister is very wicked and she is jealous with the wife. When the husband come back, the wicked sister tell him that the baby that his wife pregnant isn't his bloodline, it comes from other guy. The husband believes it and get angry with the wife (I draw red aura to describe that the husband very angry). The wife gets very sad (drawn with blue aura) and ran to the edge of the river. She said, " You'll never believe me, so that I will make you know whether I'm wrong or not. I will jump into the river, and when I die, If the river smells very good like flowers it means I'm not wrong. If I die and the river smells very bad like a corpse, it means I'm wrong and cheated behind you." Then she jump into the river and the river smell like flower (I draw three little pink flower there) and the husband feel very sad and guilty to cause the death of her wife and baby.
