Incredible design and superb sewing job!!!!
Thanks MatsGirl! I was lucky to get such a talented seamstress to sew and show.
I can't stop looking at this....WONDERFUL! Love both the relaxed and well crafted shirt style and the equally relaxed and serene imagery. You two need to start a travelers clothing line or some such thing! I'll be first in line to purchase them!
Su, thank you so much for these two photos. The shirt is beautiful!!!
This picture is more of a long shot but does show how good the pattern looks over the length of the shirt.

Showing the shirt I made in this gorgeous fabric - so very pleased with it!
Thank you vannina.
Pretty fabric with a beautiful combination of colors.
It is pretty close... and pretty! I still love the palette and can't wait to make it up.

Su - thanks so much for uploading your photos. I am far behind in that category, and appreciate all the help I can get! I think you're right about the blue in the photos not exactly capturing the teal-ness of the blue, but it's pretty close.
Close up of yardage on cotton sateen (daylight photo). I do so love this color scheme!

Daylight photo of yardage printed on cotton sateen. The blues are possibly a smidgin more green than the photo shows, but in general the colors are accurate.
Hi Su - I'm glad the swatch finally arrived, and that you like it. I know how difficult it can be to decide what to make with a certain fabric. By the time I get it, look at it, look at my patterns, look at my magazines, look at it again, I'm totally confused.
The test swatch I ordered - on cotton sateen - just arrived & it is pretty true to my monitor, the peach is maybe a hint more orange (but well within tolerance!) and it does look fabulous! I'm thinking of a big cover-all summer-autumn shirt now... or maybe a big skirt (I must decide!). Thank you so much for making this design available: I do absolutely love it.
I just love K's description of this design - "a '50s starlet, slumming it on the Cote d'Azur, with her dark sunglasses..." - it is so evocative. And Susan's description of the SF opportunity, I think that would make a great tag and I absolutely share the feeling: "Every design I post is a personal triumph and another step away from the ordinary, in a small way..."

HI K. Thanks for your comments. It seems that Spoonflower gives us all the opportunity to be the glamorous creature you described - at least in our own minds! Every design I post is a personal triumph and another step away from the ordinary, in a small way...
I found your design through su_g's attribution -- and I wish I had noticed it earlier. Such a beautiful vision of the warmth of a Mediterranean coastline. Like Su, I think it would be gorgeous as a silk skirt. I imagine a '50s starlet, slumming it on the Cote d'Azur, with her dark sunglasses, and a subtle aqua silk blouse, with the opening tied at the waist and a peach scarf, tied tight at the neck to cover her hair, dashing about to avoid the paparazzi -- or maybe just me, someday soon, pretending to be so glamorous?!?
Great! I look forward to that, thanks in advance... the more I see it the more I like it
I think it came out great. The colors are true to what I see on my screen - sort of a peachy salmon and light to dark green-blue teal. I will photograph the swatches and post them as soon as I can, which will probably be this coming Sunday.
I just noticed that it is for sale now so I guess you were happy with the swatch print.
Ohhhh, that sounds lovely; I think the sheen and shimmer of silk-cotton in a skirt would really work for this design. Can't wait to see it...
I'm thinking of using this design to make a summer mid-calf skirt - between straight and full, with deep slits in silk-cotton to give it a nice shimmer.
Pleasure Susan, as you know I am a fan! But I forgot to ask what you plan for THIS one? (I saw your note about a silk skarf for the 'Doors done small' - good to see)
Su, I should have the swatches for this group any day now, and will post photos and let you know how the colors have turned out. Thanks for your comments on all the designs today. Good to have feedback. Susan
Susan this is so so SO wonderful! The colours (a great unexpected combination but it works!) and the whole fresco-like pastiche feel of the design! I want some straight away! Let me know as soon as you print it whether the colours are true in print - I'm thinking cotton sateen to get a strong white base for the print.
