Thanks so much for your comment Tracey, I really apprciate it, it's one of my favourite designs i've done so far, I think I may actually make myself something out of this one!....eventually haha!!
thanks too Sharon, glad you like it, i'm really happy with how they turned out!

I love your interpretation of the theme. You've created a very timeless design here and all the colorways are spot on
fabric samples all look great! yey! xxx
Yay, printed Rococo fabric, this is on quilting weight. I have since adjusted the design to print slightly smaller as i thought the print was slightly large. the shown fabric is at 250 dpi and i have changed the preview to 300dpi. colours printed out fab!
uzumakijo uploaded a fabric image for
rococo decorative leaves :
aw - thanks so much victoria and mona, i'm actually really pleased with 11th, although i really like it, i wasn't sure it turned out rococo enough, and there were a lot of excellent entries! so very very happy yay!!
Congratulations on 11th place.
Congrats on 11! I love this so much, I can not believe it didn't make top ten - but it is SO awfully close and that is fabulous! :)
thanks for your great comment erin, i actually really enjoyed doing the repeat on this one, i'd love to do more like this if i can find the time!
This is beautiful! Lovely colors and movement. Your repeat is very well done, barely noticible at all, which is no small feat, I'm sure! I agree that it has an under-the-sea feel to it, like seaweed dancing in the waves.
thankyou so much for your wonderful comments patty, samara and melanie, patty - i tried it in lots of different colourways, and i couldn't decide which i liked best, so i let my other half pick which one to enter haha! will probably upload some of the others eventually when i've got more time...posted some on the flickr! and samara...funny you should say sea creature as one of the versions i messed about with ended up looking very tentacley...i like to call it my octopussy version!
this is lovely!
Jo, this is beautiful! Love how the leaves have (to me, anyway) a seahorse/sea creature feel to them. Patty's right, you really are on a roll! Great work.
wow, jo, you're really on a roll! Your artwork is marvelous and your repeat is fantastic, completely worth the effort. Your color choices are great too, though I bet this design would work in any color palette!
thanks so much for all the great comments folks, i haven't had time to look at the rococo designs properly yet but from what i've seen so far there are some really amazing ones! i don't think this will do so well in the contest and it isn't as rococo-ish as some of the others but it turned out how i wanted it to, and i'm really pleased with it so thats all i wanted really. i just really wanted to have a go at that style of drawing the repeat before i scanned it in, rather than making the repeat in photoshop whilst i had the oppurtunity. i won't be entering any contests for a bit as i can't use the computer for a while....my other half needs it for work! and victoria you are right it does look a bit cloisonne, i was trying to think what it reminded me of.,...that was it hahaa!!
Jo this is so great! beautiful work
This is such a gorgeous allover pattern, beautifully done!
Marvelously well done, Jo. You've made beautiful colours choices and your foliage is fantastic. I love the flow of the repeat.
This has an almost cloisonné appearance.
WOW - if I had been capable of doing this one (skill-wise I mean) I would have done exactly this! It is SO beautiful! You are on a roll, girl!
Jo, you deserve a fanfare for creating this fabric design of fantastic, free-falling, feathery foliage. Your time was well-invested.
oh wow ~ on a roll missus. And greens your lucky colour, eh?? brilliant. Hope you are feeling better... no contests for a while???? c'mon hon ~ you can do it.... a whole week till toile ;) xxx
I love the swirly leaves. And it makes such a great overall pattern - it's definitely useable. Great use of the light green outlines - really makes it shine.
i love the colors and the sense of movement.
So lovely Jo! I love how it glows!
Your well spent time is truly evident in these awesome organic twisting curling leaves! The colors give it a nice mysterious feel, too. I can almost imagine some creature lurking in the foliage...
