Thanks girls, roses are one of my fave things to draw and blue roses...who but Sinbad goes for blue roses? Jo, I think pink and green is def rococo colors and it is a fab color combo so it's definitely a good choice. My choice of all blue was probably influenced by the toile challenge. LOL

your roses are very beautiful vo, and look gorgeous in this design, love how they look in repeat, i really like the blue as well...mine was one of the pink AND green ones hahaaa, i had a look at some rococo paintings and furniture in some books in the library and i thought there seemed to be a lot of pink, green and blue in all of them, my favourite colour combo is pink and green so i went with that....i'm thinking i maybe did the wrong thing now...i probably should have read the text too instead of just skimming through at the pictures hahaaa! yours is a beautiful design though and i'm sure it will do very well!
Your blue roses are fantastic, Vo! The pattern on the leaves is a lovely touch.
You're correct about the blue, that and gold; but you have to fake gold on Spoonflower.
lpds, I did a bit of research about the colors of rococo and found lots of pastels and that blue was found in almost all the paintings I looked at. Since I couldn't really do the style the justice I wanted to, I settled for color and flavor. I was really surprised by the number of pink and green too.
I think the blue will definitely make yours stand out Vo (not to mention it's beautiful), it won't be missed! I was surprised there were so many pink and green! : D
After viewing the contest entries I hope quilters are looking for a blue delft china look because that will be the only thing that give me votes in this contest. bwhahaha. I love ya'll for always giving positives out. :-)
I love the blues, and the flowers are lovely!
Lovely! The shading on your roses is so beautiful, it looks like enamel!
Lovely, and I really like the sort of brocade within a brocade in the darker leaves; sort of ingenious. This seems like a really usable design for quilting (not being a quilter myself); but I can see blocks of roses or borders here.
bwhahaha, you girls are too nice to me. I appreciate it.
This is beautiful, Vo! These lovely blue roses look ready to twirl their moonlit petals in a stately Rococo dance.
loving reposie rosie xxx
