Thank you Eppiepeppercorn- I love your name, its so fun to say! I use adobe illustrator for all my designs. I set my elements up on the grid when it comes time to make the tile. I mostly use trial and error ;). Thank you for the tutorial link Tractorgirl.
Hi Eppiepeppercorn, if you use photoshop to design with, you can use the 'offset' function to help fill in thegaps ins your sdeisgn. A tutorial is here - http://www.designsponge.com/2008/05/welcome-julia-and-how-to-make-a-repeat-pattern.html

The music of Mozart is playing as these beautifully berobed ladies await their turn to dance the minuet at the Rococo Ball. These fantastic costumes and powdered, patched and peruked ladies would have looked lovely at Versailles.
