Thank you, Amy! I'm glad you like the look of the printed fabric made up into a tablecloth by Shirley (koalalady)!

I have been away from internet access for the last few weeks so it was a delightful surprise to come home and see your finished project, Shirley! Thank you so much for sharing the lovely photo of your Christmas tablecloth made from my Christmas Bells design! The Aussie ornaments sure make cute table decorations! Thanks also to Jenny and Su for your positive comments.
This design looks great as a tablecloth! http://www.flickr.com/photos/koalalady/8308998228/in/pool-spoonflower/
I love the colour combinations Rhonda.
The project is in Spoonflower Fabric Designs in Flickr I don't think you could miss it.
Rhonda, Happy Christmas! I tried to link to the tablecloth I made but have not been successful doing this lately. I copied the page url carefully and typed it in. It was not having any of the copy paste thing either. Oh well , once I've figured it out will post. Enjoying the tablecloth- dinner is tonight here.
Thank you, Sue Ellen! I am glad you agree and I did enjoy reading about your treasured boxes! :-)
Yes, super idea, Rhonda! I still have, 40-50 years after their receipt, gift boxes my mother covered with beautiful paper. Some of them are small, and still hold the jewelry which came inside them. Others' original contents have been buried in the past, but they live on in other uses: my silk scarves live in one of them, a Thai silk shawl in another, handkerchiefs in another, a favorite hat in another, etc. Plastic boxes might be more practical, but they wouldn't hold the memories of my mother as well. That your boxes will be covered with paper of your own design will increase both their beauty and their memory value. (P.S. Don't stop at Christmas boxes, either ... do birthdays and anniversaries and graduations and other celebrations, too.)
Thank you, Su! Glad that you like my idea! It always seems such a waste for lovely gift paper to be torn and shredded, so I hope time allows me to complete the project before Christmas. If not, there is always next year!
Now that is a great idea Rhonda - covering gift boxes with this design - so they can be used after the holiday season. It would be like getting TWO presents. I wish I had thought of this idea myself, so thank you!
Thank you very much for the nice comment, Susan! I am looking forward to receiving some of this design on the gift wrapping paper. I am thinking of covering gift boxes with it so that it can be used after the holiday season! :-)
This would make nice holiday gift wrapping paper too!
Thank you for the nice comment, Patty! I think you are right about the wrapping paper. I am going to buy a couple rolls using designs from this collection! :-)
Rhonda, this would make lovely wrapping paper! The colors are beautiful!
Thank you, Penny! I am so glad you think so!
So beautiful and bright
Thank you so much for your kind words and support, Su and Darcie!
Love it! Is the other your contest entry?? (the white with squares?) Very nice! Darcie
I was especially admiring this particular version yesterday. I think the strong turquoise background goes very well with the other bold colors.
Thank you, Christina! It was so nice to read your marvelous comment! :-)

I love this piece Rhonda.
Thank you Pamela and Allison for the sweet comments and support!
Rhonda, this is stunning! The lattice leaf pattern so cleverly frames the flowers. This would make the loveliest table runner for the holidays!
Very cheerful design!
Thank you Kathy and Gina. I appreciate the positive comments.
Beautiful! Has a vintage feel about it.
Your Christmas Bells came out so well.
So glad you like my Aussie wildflowers Clair! Thanks for the comment. Over the years I have created several designs based on some of the pretty and quirky wildflowers that can be found in various habitats. Most of these have been used as applique patterns. I have recently started translating them into the fabric design medium.
Soooo Australian! I love it :)
Thank you so much for the comment, daughter_earth!
really cute print! Great way to use the colors.
It was so nice to read your comment Bora. Thank you!
I love how you used the colours! Nice repeat too! Lovely!
Thanks for the lovely comment, Cean! I do have a natural inclination towards the bright side of the colour palette, so these hues were a pleasure to explore.
So lovely, Rhonda! The subtle lattice effect of the leaves makes a perfect frame for your bright brilliant blooms. Great placement of the colors, too!
Thank you Robin for the lovely comment. Christmas Bells are a heath plant which grows in poor sandy soil. They flowers look absolutely spectacular when you see a mass of them in bloom.
Thank you so much, Veezdreemz.
Oooohhh...the palette looks great. The flower shape is perfect.
This is real cute fabric
Thank you Jilian, for such sweet words.
This is lovely! Great how the neat lattice effect ties all the sweet flowers together!
Thank you Melissa and Marca for your comments. They are truly appreciated. I thought the colour choices of the restricted palette were great. I love so many plants in these hues and found it hard to choose which ones to use for this competition.
Another charming take on Australian native flora.
I like the flow of the repeat...I like the teal ground the best.
These floral images actually have very strong connections to my own childhood memories, rengal. Thank you for the comment.
Thank you Sarah for the observant comment. I'm glad you like the design.
This is really well done; it has a charm to it that reminds me of my childhood a little.
I just now noticed that when you back off the design you see a diamond pattern - wonderful! really great job.
Thank you so much, Jo for all the lovely words you said. It always gives me a warm glow when someone likes a design.
i really really like this one rhonda, the design is lovely and looks fab on both backgrounds, but i like it on this teal best...as victoria said it does make the other colours really pop! i also agree it's a wonderful repeat, love the way you have created a lattice to frame the flowers. fantastic!
Thank you Yvonne. Your kind words mean a lot to me.
Yes the repeat is really, really beautiful and the colors work great together : )
Thank you Rich. Glad you like my design.
I really like the design, this and the white background are great.
Thank you Grace and Kelly. It is so inspiring to get positive feedback!
Great design and use of the palette!
what a graceful botanical design!
Thank you Christine, Lisa, Mona and Samarra for all the lovely comments.
This is such spritely fun, Rhonda. Love the repeat and balance in the larger yardage views too. Great job!
Finishing up my design for this contest, I had to stop myself from using the teal background because no matter what I did with it, it looked like a pathetic attempt to copy your gorgeous design!
I prefer the blue background too... Makes everything pop! Just beautiful!!!
Very lovely in teal, love how the leaves form a circle
Thanks Tracy for your comment.. I love to read people's reactions to designs. Colour is an amazingly emotive element and everyone reacts to colour more strongly than any other aspect of design.
Love the repeat and that you used the teal background!
Thank you Karen, Rachel and Mona for all the wonderful comments. They are much appreciated.
This is beautiful!
this is so adorable, and i love the repeat.
Thank you for your lovely comment on my Iris. I love your design, especially with this background.
Thank you, Patty, for the nice comment. I love flowers, leaves and trees, and use them as motifs in quilting quite a bit. This challenge was an enjoyable one for me.
Really lovely allover pattern and repeat! I think I like this color best.
Thank you Ingrid, Nan and Victoria for your supportive input. It is always great to read another's opinion on designs and colour.
Both designs are lovely; and it's hard to decide. I thought I was going to like the white background better; but I think the colors, especially the yellow and green, stand out more on the dark background. This "pops".
Ooo, This is a lovely design. The diagonal leaves and wattle frame the bells so nicely. It's a great use of the color palette; and a wonderful repeat.
I would say this one too. But like teken-ing I like color. You've seen my work. LOL But I think the green background also gives the illusion of them pretty flowers, growing in a grassy field. :)
Definetly this background, but i'm color-addict! I love the combination of the jade, pinkish-red, green and gold. Screams to be printed on pillow covers for my couch and i would totally love this as wallpaper too. Imagine my house ;-)
Thanks so much for the comment, Lucinda. I also cannot decide whether I prefer the white or jade background for this design.
Can't decide which one I prefer. I like the placement of the leaves around the flowers which creates a nice flowing repeat.
