I've been designing my own dolls & doll clothing patterns for years, and am excited to find Spoonflower. Translating my very "Old School" (pencils, paper, pens, and crayons) design process to the digital world will be an adventure!

With the contest for 18" doll clothes fast approaching, I decided to start playing around with the idea of a "pillowcase" dress, which is a jumper made with two pieces of fabric. I found out I had enough space on a fat quarter for the dress, instructions, and fabric for a little co-ordinating bag. I used clip art for my motifs, and, since I love October, went with a Halloween theme. If I like the way it makes up, I'll probably try it in other colors. In the meantime . . . meow!
BTW, I made up my sample and it not only fits "American Girl" type dolls, because of its simple design also fits "Bitty Baby" dolls as well.

Love how bright this is. The varying widths of the stripes adds visual interest.

This design is zingy bright and just right for dolly to wear trick-or-treating! It looks nice and easy to construct. Maybe some little girls, those who have some sewing skills, could help with it's construction.
