A few of my little guy's stuffed friends... 'Ah' (Frog), 'Adee' (Teddy), 'Lash' (Giraffe), and 'Lam' (Lamb). It was between this one and the Cute Crocs for the Kawaii contest, but, alas, it came to the wire and I still want to tweak this one (and perhaps add in a few more characters like 'Oh-Ah' (Monkey) and 'Tutle' (Turtle)). You can find the much loved models here:) http://flic.kr/p/8D6CEv

Thank you, kukubee! You and your designs are amazing to me--packed head to toe in cuteness and artistic goodness so your comment means a lot!

Awwwwww! Such soft, adorable colors here. This is such a sweet design. :D
Thank you joanne and Kelly (why have I not added you as connections yet? I'm so bad at that!)! I have to admit, the names are less than creative as he is just trying to say the certain animal--I'm afraid at 2 I'll just confuse him if we went with 'Bob' and 'Fred'... then again, I'm talking about a kid that calls his cousin 'Che-cha' (pizza)...?! You are too funny, Mona -- poor Squeaky and Squawky (that exact scenerio--minus the imposter disgust--is how I justified buying two giraffes off the bat:) and I LOVE the dolls' names:):)
Oh... one last thing... SORRY... I'm on a roll... Eislinn had dolls (which she never really liked but I loved dolls so she had several) when she was little and her names for them were things like, "Pants" and "Hair-do" and "Pajamas". Her matter-of-factness about the names really spoke to her total disinterest in them. Cracked me up.
I love the names! Eislinn still has a teddy that is named "Tibbet" - her baby mispronunciation for "Teddy Bear". Here's how pathetic I am about stuffed animals... I have several stashed away for any possible future offspring. So I totally understand buying 2 giraffes! ;) When Eislinn was a baby, she had 3 favorite toys - Bugman, Waggy (a rag), and a simple waldorf style rag doll - and we had multiples of each which we ultimately had to use. Then she had a this favorite toy - a little stuffed animal frog - named Squeaky who she took EVERYWHERE. He disappeared one day and I frantically ran to the toy store to buy the last one they had in stock. Original Squeaky turned up 2 weeks later and then she was disgusted by the imposter (renamed Squawky) and Squeaky himself never had the same draw. (Sorry to write a book... I could obviously go on and on...)
These are adorable and I love the names your little one has assigned them!
hahaha yes i also fill my daughters room with toys i like...so glad it's not just me! love your cute stuffies, so adorable, that giraffe is just the sweetest little fella...aw!
Thank you Rhonda, Mona, and Samarra! I'll let you know when I'm done 'tweaking' (are we ever done?!) and I totally hear you, Mona -- I actually bought TWO of the giraffes because I loved it so much...I figured if my little guy loved the first one a little too much, I would have a replacement (more for my sake than for his!)... so sad... I also have a few stuffed toys in waiting until he's older so they won't get quite so used -- yes, even more sad...
More cuteness! Hurray!
YAY! Love it! I want all of these stuffed animals... I may be a grown up but something about stuffed animals still really appeals to me. :) Hence my daughter has a room full.
I love the happy expressions on the faces of these much-loved favourite toys. What a lovely, friendly fabric for any child to have on their pyjamas or as part of a quilt. I look forward to seeing it when you have finished "tweaking".
