Great masks that look even better when made up. Congrats for 3rd place.

congrats on 3rd cean...you shouldn't be surprised, i don't think anyone else was...great mask/s love 'em!!
congratulations cean....this is so wonderful :0 Yay!
Congrats! I especially like that squirrel character!
Thanks everybody! I'm really surprised at this finish. I saw a ton of masks that I thought were better than these guys. I guess in a down economy it's all about getting more bang for your buck, so two masks for the price of one was a deal. Thanks for all of your sweet support!
yay Cean, very well done!
Congratulaions on your finish!
hurrah! most excellent.
Congrats on third! :)
Yeah, congratulations on 3rd place!
Yay Cean! Congratulations! =)
Congrats on 3rd place!
Yay for squirrel and walrus on making top 3!
I love it! that is so clever! way cute too!
Thanks , Inscribed here! It took a bit of weird brainstorming to get the similar headed animals sorted out. I was originally going for a magical unicorn/ viking mix, for those full of wonder who like to plunder, but the mask got way way too long, so I opted for a squattier duo. And amazing idea for an oyster baby! I'm still tryiong to figure out what to make her for halloween. My husband can dress as a carpenter and we'll have a family Lewis Caroll themed holiday! weaving major, the free baby promotion might turn around and bite me. Literally. She's got some chompers. Still want one?
These are both fantastic. Your demo shots emphasise how great both of these masks are although I think the baby needs to be dressed up as an oyster... that would make the image suitably disturbing for halloween. The fact that it's actually one reversible mask is incredible. Whoever would have guessed that a squirrel and a walrus had the same shaped head? You obviously!
ooh, free baby AND awesome mask?! where's the preorder button?
Thanks so much, francine and sparegus, scrummy and sammk! The nose hole eye balls turned out less distracting than I thought, once I got my eyes behind them. And a baby comes free to the first 100 customers, sammyk! what a deal!
I applaud the gratuitous baby-holding. Well played, Walrus. Well played! ;)
those pics..... brilliant!!!!!!! xxx
Walrus and human child!

The Amazing Reversible Squirrel and Walrus Two Sided Halloween Mask :
I don't have my fabric yet, so here is a printmaking paper version of the squirrel side! The fabric will be less rigid and fold around the head more, I think.
Yay - this is so awesome! And bonus gerbil masks and eraser cozies!! It's almost too much :D
I love this design...yes the squirrel looks a little on the psychotic side, but, real squirrels usually look that way anyhow! The walrus on the other hand is adorable and I love how you have to look out of the nose when you wear it!
Thank you so much, Shiny! yup, Victoria, that squirrel is a definite psycho. I had to keep making his eyes bigger and bigger to make it match the walrus. Now he looks a bit demented. Joonmoon, you're too sweet! The apron pattern has been proven to work, so I put my trust in that one more. This one I'm still waiting to get a prototype up to make sure I did everything right! Weavingmajor, I promise, no closet noveling. I have an unfinished comic book or two shoved in there, though. Ttoz, brilliant idea! Nose picking/ eye poking negative reinforcement! I'll have to send this to that company that makes the gum that helps you not wet the bed.(saw that in a pharmacy the other day, luckily, I don't need it, so I'll never know if it actually works). Cfhdesigns, I'm actually the girl in the corner of the party hiding behind a dog, wishing my popular sisters were there so I'd have someone human to hide behind. Thank you all and I think I just officially won the "longest comment" prize!
Fantastic design - I especially love the walrus whiskers - and just as fantastic text. What a scream. Let me guess. Are you generally considered the life of the party?
I love the reversibleness (is that a word?) of this one! Since my son just got out of a picking his nose stage, I'd probably have to stick with the squirrel so I don't encourage or confuse him--actually, it may keep his finger out if he thought there were eyeballs up there...humm, you may be on to something...
bwa ha ha! great design, even greater sidebar commentary, are you sure you aren't a closet novelist? and best of all a stunner of an idea. Way to go, making two masks out of one!
Cean, your artwork and design skills are so wonderful! I can't decide which impresses me more...this 2 sided mask or the wonderful owl apron!! I can't wait to see what you come up with next!!
Lol. Gerbil masks and eraser cozies! Brilliant design; and looking out the walrus' nostrils is perfect for Halloween. I love how the walrus is so calm and laid-back looking ; and the squirrel looks like he'd take your finger off if you got too close.
wow wow wow. Soooo beautiful again!
Oh no, lulakiti! There is still time! Grab that marker and go to town. You have until midnight, just like Cinderella. And for the record, I think I'm a Brimleyite. I love how he says "diabitis".
Aw! That's great! I am so sad because I really wanted to enter this one... had a design and everything... but no pens (which I didn't realize until yesterday) so I didn't have time to ink my pencil drawing and get it all scanned in. Anyhoo... love this one, Cean!!! How completely inspired having them reversible like that! And I think I personally prefer Chris Rock. :)
and thank you Rhonda designs! I must have been posting at the same time. I never thought of double trick or treating!!! A great perk for the candy obsessed mask wearer.
SammyK, squiskers is also an acceptable descriptive word, Scrummy and Majo_bv, babysisterrae, thank you so much! Patty, who do you like better, Chris Rock or Wilford Brimley. Answer this question and your quandry on who to wear first will be answered. Vo, you are the walrus, coo-coo-cachoo. Jo, seeing the world through giant walrus nostrils is a beautiful thing, though it can get slimy. And decobot, I almost included a nut and a fish for props but ran out of room, so instead just put tiny heads around, to be used for gerbil masks, ornaments, and eraser cozies.
Brilliant idea! Just think of how the trick-or-treaters can double dip using this reversible mask! The thought of eyes peering from the nostrils of a walrus is a bit disturbing .... but perfect for Halloween.
Love these guys! Great eye placement on both sides and beautiful illustrations. I will be the squirrel, I am a sucker for big eyes, you can hold a nut prop too, so thats always exciting.
very creative and nice!
fantastic cean, brilliant idea and superb illustrations as always! i would want to be the walrus! not cos the squirrel isn't amazing (he is!) but just because i want to look out of the walrus' nostrils hahahaaa!!! hilarious sidebar patter too!
Wow, these are totally outstanding. I am a walrus!
Outstanding Cean,really and truly.
wow, your reversible mask is amazing, I'd have a hard time deciding which one to be first!
Oh Cean, this is hilariously fun. You never disappoint and just made my Tuesday morning more fun. I keep thinking 'Walnut' when I'm reading 'Walrus' which just means I'm nuts and need more coffee. I'd be glad to stare out of any of your creature's nostrils any time.
Thanks so much, Kdl! It was definitely a bit of a brain twist trying to figure out two heads the same shape and make the eye holes line up. I hope people don't mind staring out of a walrus's nostrils!
These are amazing, I love your work, and the two sided idea is just perfect!
