Good point actually Victoria, I'll have to add it to my next swatch sample and check it out!!

With the new color profile you might not need to change anything.
Thankyou so much for your comment Victoria! I never did get round to doing another version with turquoise, or trying another background colour....still on my to do list, it just keeps getting longer haha!!
I love it too, beautiful desing!!
i love my peacock! possibly my favourite of all my designs, printed up beautifully....however the turquoise on screen has printed up a baby blue colour, i will tweak and have another version with turquoise in it....and keep this one like it is with the blue....looks lovely actually!

I love your peacocks with attitude. Have you tried any other background colors?

Fantastic design, Joanne, the peacocks are brilliant! I'm sure it will be inspiration for many cool sewing projects. I love it!
hi victoria, i don't know what happened there...it seems to be working now, i checked signed in and i signed out and tried and seems to be ok...but if you want to try again if you have a minute and see if it works from your end that would be cool! i had two versions up originally entered one then changed the space it was in(before the deadline) but just wondering if maybe the blog listing hadn't caught up...um very strange! thanks for letting me know!
What happened? When I click on this, on the blog page with all the rankings, it doesn't link to the design. You might want to let Spoonflower know.
Amazing detail in your fabulous design : Whoo hoo for being let out to play after spending 10 years in a sketch book - lol - Best of luck in the contest :)
oh my goodness thanks so much everyone for your fantastic comments...i'm super pleased you all like it! i love him dearly but i kinda thought it would be like the sort of design only it's mother could love hahaha!! of course i would love him to do well in the contest but i don't mind so much if not...i would rather do something i was completely happy with and it come bottom than something i hate and it do really well haha...but then i've always been a bit like that!! i'm just mega happy to have got so many fab comments woohoo...cheers ladies!!! oh and btw samarra you are so right about the dr seuss thing..i hadn't intended it or even noticed it whilst doing it... i just made him snooty and snotty looking cos thats what i think of when i think of peacocks, but there was a dr seuss cartoon on tv this morning and haha he so looks like that!!!
So fun! Fun flowers, fun peacocks, fun color palette. I agree with ceanirminger, I think you may be surprised in the contest.
Oh, I still love this one so much. The peacock has that similar slightly hoity-toity look that many Dr. Seuss creatures have. They're foolish but snotty about it. Mr. Peacock exudes a similar confidence! Great job.
What are you talking about - I love your peacocks and those wonderful retro flowers! You shouldn't be so coy - I can see a fab halter top made of this!
love the peacock and psychedelic colors
Soo pretty! I love your flowers.
Lovely colours. Great job!
Those peacocks are great! And the colourcombination is very good too
I guess peacocks age like wine, those ten years of percolating have given us a awesome vintage bird! I can't tell you what I love most, you hit my perfect shade of green, the somehow soothing psychedelic shades, the line work. I think every part is perfect. This guy is going to surprise you in the contest, I think! Great job!!!
love the colors, and the birds and the feel altogether remind me of another time in ancient history. pretty cool.
Oh this is just fantastic. I love the expression on his face. All the details just keep me looking and admiring.
It's playful, colorful, and fantastic! Well done Joanne!
thanks so much for your fab comments everyone - this is actually one of my designs i like for a change huzzah!...(doesn't happen as often as i'd like!) rhonda - haha yeah he is such a proud peacock thats for sure, he was in that salon for 3 days, can you imagine?? sharon - yep after 10 yrs of not going out he really is gonna make the most of it, what a massive show-off haha! jillian -thanks for the not overly bright comment, i was wondering!! you should have seen my 1st choice of green - ouch! kelly - thanks so much, he is definitely full of character, he says thanks for noticing!! patty - cheers for the egyptian comparision, it's the eyes - love egyptian style eyes, i tend to stick them in everywhere haha! mona - thanks hon, glad you like it!! samarra - haha as much as i love my cocky little peacock, i'm not sure he will be to a huge amount of peoples taste! not exactly versatile and useful for many projects hahaha! although out of all my designs this is the one i would actually wear hahaa!!
I think this is splendid, Jo! I'm going to argue with you about it not doing well in the contest; on the contrary! I think it's a classic presentation with great touches of whimsy in the details (that peacock is adorable!) and you've been able to create three separate stories within one fabric that show variety and cohesion at the same time. I love the color palette too!
Oh wow! This is so great!!!
Looks great! Your birds remind of Egyptian peacocks, very regal. Love the colors too!
Your peacock is so full of character, and such lovely colors!
Combining peacocks and flowers is an awesome idea! I love it! Especially the flowers in the feathers. The green really calms and ties those colors down, they don't look overly bright to me.
haha - your description kills me. This will do really well hon ~ and I'm happy that after 10 years your peacocks get an outing. Wonderful fabric ~ fab colours, best of luck! xxx
This is gorgeous! I love your, "I've just come from the beauty salon, so don't mess my feather-style!" peacocks.
