I'm influenced by the ocean in my designs. I have a need to draw.. it's crazy but I can only go a few days without drawing and then I get the urge so strongly that I just have to sit down and draw something.... I LIVE

A Herb Garden ... just the way it should be :-) What would we do without herbs... eat boring food! This is my Herb Garden contest entry :-)
This garden has Mint in the top left bed. Next bed in with the purple/pink flowers is Yarrow. Top Center above the pond is Basil. Center left the light green is Lettuce. Centre Bottom below the pond is Lavender. The long bed outside the Lavender to the left is Onions and Lemon Grass. Bottom left corner is Oregano. Bottom right corner is Thyme. Next bed in has Chamomile. Centre right of the pond is Garlic. Above that in the long bed is Strawberries, for fun. and in the top right corner is Chives. It's missing Rosemary.. maybe I'd plant that instead of the Yarrow. This design belongs to Sylvie Heasman. Thanks for taking the time to leave me your thoughts Isabella! :-)

All the herb beds are beautifully drawn. I also like the lovely fountain - complete with fish! Nicely done.
Next time you prepare a bed for your herbs, Sue Ellen, put down 3 or 4 layers of newspaper on top of your soil. Add a layer of potting soil and plant your seeds or seedlings. The newspaper stops weeds from coming up, it eventually disintegrates and it attracts earthworms as well. A win win situation.
Having been weeding amongst the herbs in my garden, I want to hire your weeding-helper! This garden is really beautiful, and I'm sure will provide a full year's worth of taste-bud teasers, and healing potions.
Thanks so much Penny :-)
Very pretty, reminds me of a maze
Thank you Melanie and Sheila! What a lovely comment Sheila, yes fresh herbs..hmmm yum.. I wish :-)
Love the koi pond Sylvie! Love the warm pathway against the cool of the herbs. It would be great to have a garden like this and have fresh herbs for dinner every night!
Thanks Denise, Rhonda, Moira and Anne :-) Your wonderful comments are so uplifting :-)
This is great!
Yes! I wouldn't mind a herb garden like that!
The beautifully detailed illustrations of your design give an excellent bird's eye view of your "Dream Herb Garden", Sylvie!
What an adorable herb garden Sylvie!
Thanks Tina :-)
Thanks Su! Yes it's a little pond with a fountain, lily pads and small koi fish. :-)
Lovely! I agree with Deborah about the medieval feel to this... And is that a little fountain I see in the central pool (with lily pads?)?
Thank you Deborah... I'm still working on it hehe :-)
Lovely medieval feel to this, Sylvie.
