Yes the yard view doesn't give the actual detail effect. For me the best view, is the wallpaper swatch. It is just broad enough to give the impact for the repeat, but still keeps the details. Thank so much Su. I love those Dagobert Peche floral surface prints of the early 20th century and was a bit inspired from the color ranges I've seen among those sorts of textile designs.

This is so beautiful Joan! It makes me think of silk chiffons that have self-same woven stripes with different degrees of transparency and then an over-printed - or it could even be woven - pattern. Love the 'drippy' or liquid effect of some of the texturing - although you do lose it at the yardage view - which makes me think this would do well at a large scale - thinking home dec and also scarves. Really very beautiful in these autumnal colors too.
Thanks Rhonda! I should have spelled the Vienna workshop as Wiener Werkstaette (I think?)
I love the rich earthy colours and wonderful textures of this design, Joan. The pattern layers hint of hidden depths tucked just out of sight.
Thanks Lori! I've been drawn to the Deco floral of the Weiner Werkstatte period lately. Many of the designs created by the designers of that workshop seemed to have created moody designs (to my eye at least). I worked at attempting to have that moodiness flow through these.
Wow! The flow of colors take on an almost bark-like appearance. And the suble pinks.....nice!
