The two headed dragon horse is cleverer, but the single headed is faster. Breeders still argue the merits.
I challenged myself to draw using only three crayons- a midnight blue, a sky blue, and a raw sienna. Turned out well, I think.

Thank you, Jan.
I went with the 'fabulous monster' rather than 'grotesque monster' definition because I've always loved horses and dragons. The flow is partly subconscious, as I drew each dragon separately on the same sketch pad without being able to see them together, and partly conscious because I had an 'invisible shape' I fit the basic paired unit into which had worked well in the past, and partly persistence, because it took repeated minor adjustments to make it work the way I wanted. ;^)

It's hard to think of such lovely creatures as monsters! The flow is excellent (lucky? subconscious good planning!), and your trio of colors worked out very well.
Thank you, Brittney! I was so glad they fitted together so well- I'd drawn them on two separate pieces of paper without pre-planning, so luck had a lot to do with it.
This is such a gorgeous design, especially on the yardage!
Thank you, Kelly! I was very happy with the flow of the repeat. They lined up nicely.
I think so too! They're beautiful. I like the two-headed one especially.
