Hi! I make dolls and teach workshops on dollmaking. My visible work here is very slim in comparison to the staggering number of projects and kits I complete using spoonflower printing!

Let's hope all the archers are very talented ;]. I started out with several pencil drawings to make the ladies and the arrows (plus the quill and ninja star). I made the fruits with colored pencils and shrink plastic. Then I scanned it all in and did a bit of editing :]. Woo!

dollproject says: Thank you Cean, Weavingmajor and Victorialasher :]. Ooh..a dragonfly type design would make a really pretty wedding gown neckline. I used to sculpt a lot of fairies and fantasy figures, so I guess I was drawing on that when I clothed these girls. Pattysloniger, I am sorry I spelled your name wrong!

victorialasher says: your dragonfly neckline is giving me ideas for my daughter's bridal gown.

victorialasher says: Very, very nice. I think these ladies should stand someplace a little safer:) I love your drawings.

weaving...

weavingmajor says: wow, well drawn. I like the ambivalence of the girls' expressions - and all the ambiguity and surprises of the dress necklines. It begs a story (which is a great thing for a surrealist image!)

ceanirm...

ceanirminger says: These illustrations are amazing, Dollproject! I love the details in the hair and clothing and it contrasts so nicely with the juicy fruit. And nice placement on the trajectory of the arrows. They look like they'll just miss hitting these dames in the noggins. Beautiful job, and good luck!

dollproject says: Thank you for the support and kind comments decobot, kdl, pattyloniger and sparegus! :] I had fun making them! Especially the fruit. I don't know what I will do with the plastic fruits now. Maybe use them in a collage...

pattysloniger says: I see artistic talent runs in the family, superb illustrations! I especially like the faux-bois hair, and the way you made the fruit so dynamic with color against the line art ladies.

jillianmorris says: This is great! I love the hand done mediums. You did a wonderful job unifying them with the fruity focal points still standing out. The girls are very cute, but I wouldn't want to be one.
