This is so beautiful Rhonda, with the stained glass effect and beautiful hues! It would make a wonderful quilt!
Your kind praise means a lot to me, Sharon! Thank you very much for your lovely comment!:-)

Oh, this is breathtakingly beautiful. Love, love, love the composition and rolling curves. Texturing only some of the "mountains" is genius. This carries me away. Gorgeous in all the colorways.
I am glad you stopped by to have a look at this collection, Boo! Thank you kindly for your lovely comment!:-)

How have I missed this Rhonda? It's just beautiful - in fact all the colourways are gorgeous. It almost has a stained glass look to it, a feeling of luminescence. Stunning.
Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful comment, Winterblossom!:-)
I saw yesterday on Flicker a photo of a sea/sky landscape that reminded me of this design which I love. Your design is so spot on ...
Thank you for the comment, Maria! I am so glad you like my cold desert design!:-)

Like our nights right no! Beautiful Rhonda!
Thank you very much for your comment and for sharing the photo of your silky faille swatch, Ruth. Much appreciated! I have previously had the design printed on basic cotton or the old Kona, so it was interesting to see it on a different fabric type. Most of the "hazy" look you mentioned is caused by the Spoonflower design squashing bug. The design actually prints with quite clear and crisp lines. I will reset the view to swatch so that you can see a clearer image of the design on the screen. I think that will give a closer idea of how it prints.
somewhat more lilac too

I got a swatch of silky faille of this design. It prints very exact and darker as on the screen.
Somehow this makes it loose some of that sllghtly hazy feeling
Thank you so much for the wonderful comment, Sylvie! :-)

Your design looks like some paint on silk with outlines. Beautiful.
Thank you very much for your kind words, Ruth and Nakina! :-)
This is so pretty! I have such a soft spot for anything that reminds me of stained glass!

Very calming and restful design. Beautiful!
Thank you very much for the wonderful, positive comments, Janiece, Vannina and Jean! :-)
Lovely! This design (in all 4 color versions) reminds me of a beautiful Tiffany Window! So much fun to see your designs. Thanks for messaging me, Rhonda.
I read that it was the desert but I see a stormy sea at sunset! This is a design that stimulates the imagination. This is beautiful!
It just strikes me as having a nice flow feel in vertical. A very adventurist fashion designer could even cut the edges of the shirt or skirt or whatever they are making out following your lines for an organic edge. Sort of like fringe. I also see that being anasymetrical edges, flowing longer on one side than the other. Just thought I'd share what popped into my head when I saw this fabric design.
Thank you for the thought-provoking comment, Janiece! It is the middle of the night where I am, but after reading your suggestion I just had to find a piece of this fabric and look at it from the vertical perspective! It is amazing how the rotated view plays with your mind-set! Lol, looking at the real fabric this way was kinder to my neck than looking sideways at the screen! :-)
I was just looking at this landscape and thought how cool it would be for fashion to also have a vertical version of this and the other colors. I would think it would be one of those great slimming designs that pulls your vision up and down. Sort of like a waterfall.
Thank you for your comment and for sharing the happy memories that my design evoked for you, Joan!

Our most enjoyable vacations were when we would take a trip to the Smokey Mountains. This reminds me of being up in the heights of the mountain ridges and viewing the distant mountains draped in the smokey clouds. Beautiful!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment, Deborah! The area where you live sounds very beautiful!
This design is beautiful. It reminds me of the Wichita Mountains west of us just after sunset -- the purple blue hue.
Thank you for those fantastic comments, Claire and Lyell! :-)
What a wonderful design -- I feel like I'm floating in the clouds. I love your color variations on this design as well.
Gorgeous Rhonda, this is my favourite one :)
Thank you, Beth! I am thrilled that you have such positive thoughts about my Leadlight Landscape Collection!!
I love the lead-light series. Your feeling for the tones of the colours is fantastic.
Thank you for the compliments, Dazzia!
This is very beautiful as are all of your other works, but this one gives me a serene, laid back on a summer day type feeling.
Thank you, Janiece! I am glad you like my design! :-)
Love the combination of the textures and solids.
Thank you, Felice! It was so nice of you to look and comment! :-)
Thank you so much for your comment, Cian! :-)

Thank you Shirley! Your lovely comment has brightened my day!
I really have a hard time deciding between a desert scene or the Christmas bells as I want to make them all favorites. Came to look after you very nice comment on my rococo pattern. Thank you,

Thank you for the lovely comment, Shala.
I love how it printed up, those are just gorgeous colors and shapes.
Wow! That is the most amazing compliment I've ever received! When I was a teenager, (last century some time!), my Art teacher and greatest mentor, used to say that my painting style was very Fauvist. Another full circle, I guess.
This reminds me of the Chagall window in the Art Institute of Chicago
Thanks for the fave, debajoe!
Thank you fussyb. I was really pleased with the way the colours and textures printed.
So lovely! The textures and colors printed brilliantly.
Thank you Joanne, Virginia and Kelly so much for all the lovely comments. It always gives me a nice warm glow when I read such sweet compliments!
It looks great. This is such a fabulously great repeat.
ooh this printed up lovely rhonda....you know i really thought i'd left a comment on this one at the time of the contest but apparently not so! i remember thinking how beautiful it was at the time, and it looks just as gorgeous printed up! lovely textured areas, i really like the colours in the after dawn one too, a fab design!
My desert themed design, Another Cold Night in the Desert, printed nicely on Spoonflower's quilting weight cotton.

Thank you treacle_treats for your thoughtful comment. You are right; small sections of this would be good to use as water in patchwork landscape designs.
So pretty, like stained glass. You could use small sections of this as water almost as easily as mountains.
Thank you riamelin for your lovely comment. I guess you could say that the contour shapes are fitted into a flowing repeat pattern by a combination of visualisation and mathematics.
I'm loving the shape and colours in this one, how did you get the shapes to fit together in the repeat? Beautiful!
Thank you hauteideas for your comment. I like the idea of a silk scarf as I think these colours would look good with a sheen on the fabric.

Very attractive color palette and flowing design. How marvelous this would be on a silk scarf!
Thanks so much for the lovely comment. I hadn't thought of this design in terms of clothing before. I usually look at fabric in terms of it's potential to be used in patchwork quilts, wallhangings, bags and other related creations. It is always interesting to read someone else's different ideas!
what a fabulous cool kaftan this pattern would make for those long hot summer days...love it..baz
Thank you suedudadesigns for the comment. Glad you like the colours.
I LOVE blues and these lovely blue overlaps are striking!
Thank you weavingmajor for your kind words.
ooh, this is really pretty! yes, my first thought was stained glass too. Very nice.
Yes, almost_midnight, I did initially hand draw the contours for this landscape.

I'm glad you like my colours and textures decobot.

I'm so glad that you like this so much, victorialasher. I'm very pleased to have created something different from the majority. The stained glass effect is a happy bonus. Your design was also wonderfully unique.

Thanks for all the lovely comments.
This is one of my favorites. I really liked the totally different direction you went with the theme. Both your designs have a stained glass look to them.
I agree on the great colors! Your after dawn palette is also very nice. Love the crumply textures included in there!
Yes! Deserts aren't just hot sun beating down 24/7, they can get really cold at night. These pretty blues convey 'cold' spectacularly and your (hand drawn?) lines make a wonderful repeat. The moonlit peaks are a super touch too.
Thanks for the wonderful comments!
You have very beautiful colours and nice textures on this interesting landscape. I love the play of light and shadow and the repeat is brilliant!
Simple and gorgeous. I voted for you!
What a brilliant landscape, so vast yet not quite empty. The colors are amazing. This will be a very useful patchwork fabric.
