Based on a 70's wallpaper design but using slices of orange, lemon and lime!
Based on a 70's Wallpaper but using slices of orange, lemon and lime, this is an old design of mine...I designed it originally as a background for another design which was horrendously ugly, but I liked this part so kept it as a design on its own.....prints out lovely, I have no idea what I did with the swatch as I had it printed a couple of years back now, but if I find it I will post a photo!

Thanks very much for your comments Kelly, Ottomanbrim, Victoria and Julie, this one does make me smile I have to say! Hoping to do some more designs this summer but have just taken on yet another work placement.....useful towards next year but not getting a lot of time to do other stuff!!

Great design! Love the 1970's style!
I thought this looked sort of like eyes also; in an amusing strange sort of way. A citrus halloween monster perhaps?
I love the graphic 70s vibe! Great colors too!
hahaha now all I can see is eyeballs, thanks guys - but zany crazy cool - and I'm glad you're back, Jo!
Hi everyone, thanks for the fab comments Sharon, alex,Su, Rhonda and Claire, its really nice just to get some time to visit Spoonflower again, will have to upload some of my designs i've been doing at Uni...i've been doing a lot of dyeing yarn and making rugs with it this semester though so not so much with the patterns!!
Right up my street! Fab take on the theme, Jo, loving this :D
This is such a fabulous, fun design, Jo! I love how you have taken simple slices of fruit and turned them into some extraordinary, "other" entity!
A great plan and an awfully fun design - I think Isabella put her finger on it with her description of your "talent for making ordinary things look slightly disturbing" !!!
Hi Jo!! Great pattern :o)
yay nice to have you back Jo!! :D xxx
Thanks so much for your comments Alex and Cean, Kinda feels a bit of a cheek to enter an old design but it was that or nothing! Just wanted to get back into it as soon as I could! will have to be VERY nice to my other half to get to use the pooter as I have been hogging it all year, he wants to use it to design his furniture on...he's at work today though so try to get as much done as poss. whilst he's out...shhh, dont tell!
This is fAb, Jo! I second Isabella's take on the appearance of zany eyeballs, they are crazy cool looking, kind of like the eyes of someone who has had one too many shots chased with a lemon. Congrats on finishing year two and welcome back to the contests!
Lovely colours, Jo!
Hahahahahaaa, thats hilarious Isabella, just a natural love for the slightly disturbing I guess lol! I love that you think it looks like eyeballs, ( i kinda think so too i just didn't like to say hahaha!)

OMG, Jo! I just noticed this design. You have a real talent for making ordinary things look slightly disturbing. These citrus slices bear a very strong resemblance to blood-shot eyeballs. How do you do it?
