Step two: Shower in the morning but bathe in the evening... it relaxes and soothes, especially if you scent the room with lavender candles.
Step three: Drink a glass of warm milk with a sprinkle of nutmeg or - if lactose intolerant - a calming cup of camomile tea.
Step four: Make up a hot water bottle - in a cover of course - and place at the bottom of the bed so you'll have warm tootsies.
Step five: Change into your best silk pyjamas and read something light - I love a chapter of Jeeves and Wooster or a sonnet.
Step six: Get into your comfy cosy bed... set the alarm - remember you need eight hours beauty sleep - snuggle up and snooze....
