... and that''s jazz!
Thelonius Monk (performing from 1940's to the 70's) a true Rastafarian and a genius on the piano.
Louis 'Satchmo' Armstrong on trumpet (performing from 1920's to the 60's) hanky in his pocket that big grin and trumpeters lips!
Buddie Rich on drums (performing from 1930's to the 80's) judo black belt, bit of a temper, singing his favourite song 'It's not easy being green'!
Singing 'Lullaby in birdland', and sounding just like a bird, we have Chris Connor (performing from 1940's up to 2003) in a rather fetching black satin gown...
and on Marimba, yes, Marimba - the outrageous 'Glorious' Gloria Parker (performing from 1920 to 1980 and still alive and well, and living in Long Island) wearing a home made turquoise halter neck ensemble and Stanley Hagler jewels!
It's a hard life being a genius... that vital flame that burns too soon... and what did they give us?
Well... that's Jazz!
All bordered with African Block prints - reminiscent of the African culture which so inspired and lives through Jazz music.

Hey there Deborah - so lovely of you to pop by and make so many favourites, including this one, and thank you so very much for the lovely comments.<br>
This design was an education for me too... I'd seen a Marimba player, years ago, in a very old black and white movie - I didn't know she was 'Glorious' Gloria Parker, but I do now. What a happy discovery!
