Announcing Poly Crepe de Chine!
**I don't recommend the Poplin for globes, as the Poplin is very stiff and unstretchy - my experience is that the globes turn out wrinkly. Kona is my first choice, though the knits and the sateen work as well.**
Buying one yard allows you to see the world larger (12") and also has pieces to make a total of three 6" globes and a total of four 3" juggling globes.
other size globes are available here.
This globe is based on Cahill's 1919 butterfly globe, but with current political boundaries. (updated Mar 2012, see comments for details.) The map is hand-drawn and not accurate for navigation; apologies if your favorite orthographic bump or divot has been omitted or is obscured by a territorial label.
