The dogs have a decidedly snooty look about them and the flowers have a hidden agenda:
Yellow tulips for hopeless love,
Borage flowers - the pretty little blue ones - for bluntness,
Helenium - the big orange daisy - for tears,
Mock orange blossom -the white ones - for deceit,
and lastly but by no means least China pinks - the pretty little pink carnations - for Aversion!
No wonder they aren't talking!

Lovely stitched florals and doggies Moira, all arranged so beautifully!
Wow! Thank you - Susan, Victoria, Rebel C, Sigrid, Rhonda and Charlotte - such lovely comments - so glad I checked in this evening, you've made my day! Thank you!
The language of flowers speaks in a loud and clear voice in your pretty, but deceptively romantic, design, Moira! It is a charming print with an acid bite hiding in the blooms ... a bit like a bee-sting I guess!
Great how you composed all the symbolic elements to such an lovely cross stitch design! It's very beautiful!
Looks great, I love all the details and the doggies are gorgeous
So beautiful, and fabulously clever with all the anti-Valentine's symbolism.
Who wouldn't love those cutie dogs! A great design! Good luck.

Aw shucks Tina and Shelly - I'm blushing!
Thank you Kim - Yup, the Muse is home - you do say the nicest things!
Your Muse is definitely in residence, Moira ! A well thought out, lovely design, in spite of( or is it because of?) the hidden message. You know your cross stitch too! I suspect many votes will be coming this way, mine included.
So very smart and still beautiful!
So clever and so beautifully done!
Hi Amy - so pleased you're loving this - makes it all worth the effort! Thank you!
Giiiiirl, this is awesome!!!! OMG, the cross-stitch effect is amazing. Sweet, and yet not sweet.....brilliant, Moira!!!!!
Hi Sue Ellen - the trouble is that I'm just so British!
Although I admit that this 'Oh, so subtle' approach won't work on lot of people, but... I'm so pleased you got it!
I guess it's just hard for some people to get it! But this anti-Valentine is a flowery whack upside the head ... well done, Moira!
