Louis but many chose St. Louis as their home.
I knew most of them personally as I'd been sneaking into bars to see them from the time I was 16 years old. Set in the shadow of Anheuser Busch, Falstaff and the Lemp breweries, age was of little concern in those days. The red brick architecture of the city's Gaslight Square and the river city of Soulard were the well known backgrounds for live concerts every night of the week. Today they have all moved on to what ever comes after life but they left behind the their prodigies to continue to fill the night air with the best music has to offer. This is my entry for the Spoonflower design contest, The History of Jazz.
