This is a hexagonal cheater quilt featuring the patterns of my Ice Cream Social fabrics. Taking cues from the fabric collection, this pattern is an update of the Grandmother's Flower Garden patterns that were so popular during the Depression era.
Putting this together on the computer tested the limits of my patience, so I can only imagine the patience of the amazing quilters who piece this type of quilt by hand.
The design also features cheater stitch lines just outside "the ditches" between each hexagon.
