silk-painting style. The corners have hand-drawn daffodils.
The center flower here is derived from a copper batik stamp I got recently, and done in silk-painting style. The corners have hand-drawn daffodils. The border is a variant of the traditional quilt pieced pattern Grandmother's Flower Garden.___ This pattern uses a Spoonflower color palette. I used all the colors, but some in very small amounts.___ This size version can be used as a cheater quilt block, or placemat or wallhanging. For a placemat or hanging, use thin quilt batting, and a backing fabric, and once it is quilted, bind the edges with bias strips.___ To use as a quilt block, or the center panel of a wall quilt, you may wish to cut it as a square. Several coordinating fabrics using the same patterns will be visible soon.
