How ironic, my hands were freezing by the time I finished photoshopping this. It's currently nine degrees outside and the heater doesn't work in my apartment. I WISH it were spring already.
My inspiration for this design came from the "floral cheater quilt" contest of the week, and from this 1960s Vogue cover: http://agnautacouture.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/flower-make-up.jpg
It also reminds me a lot of the psychedelic floral fabric scraps I played around with as a kid and learned how to sew with.

This is such a fun design! It is perfect for a wall hanging. It would really cheer up a room!

I love how you have used bold colours and simple floral shapes to achieve the naive patchwork / folk art style of your cheater block! After reading your description, I had another closer look at the individual elements you have used in your design. They hold echoes of the bright and funky fabrics that I loved when I was a teenager during the "Flower Power" era!
