This design is so gorgeous! So detailed and you used the colors so beautifully!
Fun interpretation of a traditional quilt.
wow this is really beautiful!
This is very very pretty!
So pretty elramsay!
Thanks, folks! I'll be adding embroidery to my sample. There are little places where I can see it adding texture and detail. I researched Baltimore Albums for this challenge. The symbols used are all traditional. Many Baltimore quilts were created by the daughters of wealthy merchants. In them, they stitched their hopes and showed off their wealth. A book represented literacy; a lyre, a love of music and the classics; fruits were a luxury only the wealthy could afford. Birds and hearts are still symbols of love. Ships and eagles were other popular motifs.
So beautiful! I really love the border too!
Love the folksy feel to this, and the lemon background. Beautiful!
Very nice!! Cindy :)
This is a fabulous faux applique quilt block design! You have laid out a banquet of beauty for quilt lovers to admire, Eleanor!
Oh, this is really pretty. It would be a lot of fun to do embroidery on.
