Fabric design is definitely not my strong point as an artist, but I keep on trying! I am so inspired by all the other talented people on here. My main interest, in my own work, is in adult-leaning but child inspired designs. I aim to be silly.

The little viking dragon ship that could is headed straight for the arms of a rather duplicitous mermaid. But this is not the worst of their problems

The little viking dragon ship that could is headed straight for the arms of a rather duplicitous mermaid. But this is not the worst of their problems - only Sven the Googly-Eyed sees the ravenously hungry sea serpent sneaking up behind them. Poor Sven. None of his viking brothers can be bothered when a beautiful (and shirtless) woman beckons.

Came in 33 out of 112 in the Nautical contest! I'll take it! Not bad at all. Sven would have been very, very pleased. RIP Sven the Googly-Eyed. You will be missed.

lulakiti says: Ha! :) I love swirly lines. I'd use them in everything if I could. Polka dots too. I'm big on polka dots.

yoshikawa says: We are truly kindred spirits : ) I almost put swirly waves under my viking ship as well! Maybe we should call each other before hand so we don't wear the same dress to the party! lol

lulakiti

lulakiti says: Thanks! I do too - though I always tend to think I'm hilarious regardless. I thought the "Googly-Eyed" reference would get her for sure but she was not so easily bought.

lulakiti says: By the way - my six-year-old just declared my little story completely "unfunny". Ah well... I'll keep trying. :)

ceanirm...

ceanirminger says: I love it! From Sven, the stalwart lookout to that sneaky seamonster, to that siren with the bodacious ta-tas, it's just plain plunder-ful!

lulakiti

lulakiti says: And yes - much agreed on the zoom, sammyk! I didn't want to make the design too big and ruin the effect on the fabric but then it is very hard to see poor little Sven pointing frantically at the sea monster to no avail.

lulakiti

lulakiti says: Well, that's what she keeps telling the vikings but I think her intentions are a little more sinister. Stoopid vikings. :) I just finished reading the first 3 books in the "How To Train Your Dragon" series to my daughter - I've got vikings on the brain.

sammyk

sammyk says: Or maybe she wants a shirt? Heh. Very cute. If only the zoom feature worked better. Double heh! Nice job, lulakiti.
