Description: This is my entry in the Spoonflower new year resolution contest. I was introduced to the idea of random acts of kindness in the mid 90's by a woman named Martha Borst who at the time had a program called Phoenix 2000 that several of my friends and myself participated in. She has a book on the market now titled "Your survival strategies are killing you". A very smart woman who is a life advisor. She sent us out into the city streets to do random acts of kindness. It was an amazing experiment in humanity and I've been hooked ever since. One of my favorite quotes from Leo Buscaglia states "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." His ripple theory states that a small kindness is like a pebble dropped in water. It spreads out and the ripple gets bigger as it does. You never know how far a simple kindness ripple might travel through the sea of humanity. Drop stones often and you just might create a wave with your ripples.

whimzwhirled says: Thanks Angela. I got quite a few hearts from folks and I think a couple new connections so it was a winner in my book. I'm happy you liked it as well.

whimzwh...

whimzwhirled says: Thank you Kim. I'm glad you like it and the sentiment. I love surprising random people with little gifts that I make with encouraging words and a friendly hello. I used to have business cards that I put the price of a phone call on (when pay phones still existed and before the mobil phone) that read call someone you care about and tell them how you feel. I have a few newer printable tricks that I will share with anyone who asks. Just message me with your email and I will send the files for free.
