Well, I kept trying to get a picture that would show the differences. Not sure if I was successful, but I made the attempt. Thank you for taking a look. I appreciate it.

Thanks so much for the great comparison of the same design and how it prints on the different fabric types - just so helpful Deborah!
Bear with me. One more comparison shot. Photo taken indoors, natural light being provided by a window with a westerly exposure . . . winter afternoon. "Christmas Ribbons," left to right, printed on Spoonflower basic cotton, Spoonflower cotton sateen, and Spoonflower cotton silk. I think this photo best shows how the cotton silk printed a little bit darker than the sateen or basic cotton.
anniedeb uploaded a fabric image for
Christmas Ribbons :
Spoonflower cotton sateen printed with "Christmas Ribbons." Photo taken indoors under a lamp with an incandescent light bulb. Printed well.
Spoonflower cotton silk printed with "Christmas Ribbons." Photo taken indoors under a lamp with an incandescent light bulb. Textures printed well.
Comparison shot of three swatches of Spoonflower fabric printed with "Christmas Ribbons." Photo taken indoors, no flash. The top swatch is Spoonflower basic cotton, the middle swatch is cotton sateen, and the bottom swatch is cotton silk. The silk printed the darkest. In my opinion, this design printed the best on the cotton sateen, although the basic cotton printed well too.
Thanks, Sylvie. I appreciate your taking a look at this design. Thank you.
The gold effect is awsome !!!! Congrats !
Thank you, Jane. While not a metallic gold like it would be on paper, the illusion of "metallic gold" seems to have come through on the fabric. I created the design on a gold digital canvas and uploaded it like that. I think what helps the design maintain a metallic "gold" look on fabric is the crumpled look of the canvas. If there had been just a solid canvas with gold color, I don't think the "metallic" effect would have come through. I was pleasantly surprised by how the design printed on the basic cotton. Thank you for taking a look. I appreciate it.
Please do tell how it prints in gold?

Spoonflower basic cotton printed with "Christmas Ribbons." Printed well.
Thanks, Cal. I know . . . I'm tempted to try it on the cotton silk . . .also the wrapping paper. It translated to the basic cotton much better than I thought it would. Will try to get a swatch photo up soon. Thanks so much for taking a look. I appreciate it.
Wow! Just gorgeous! I'm curious how that gold leaf would look on a cotton silk? So rich!
