The past continues to live on foggy ironwork balconies, as do the ghosts who once graced them in life.
For a year I lived in Natchez, MS, the most fascinating town I have ever experienced. In Natchez, the past continues to live; antebellum homes both forgotten and celebrated are everywhere, as are the ghosts who built, lived, and served in them.
This design took a French Quarter turn (although Natchez has a few iron balconies, nearby New Orleans is famous for them). I hope you enjoy!

Still an eye-catching design, and I continue to find the gray restful and peaceful (even tho' the subject is ghosts!) - and it looks wonderful as wallpaper.

This is a very lovely and haunting design!
Thank you Su and Otto! The iron was a lot of fun to draw :)
So elegant! And such an effective use of silhouettes. I really like the beautiful iron lacework too and your lovely notes.
Wonderful interpretation of the theme!
And... Natchez is definitely worth a visit!
What wonderful comments to wake up to! Thank you all very much, you've given my day a great start!
Beautiful and spooky at the same time! Lovely twist on the theme.
This is a beautiful design filled with romantic images of an era long gone but not forgotten!
Audra, this is a spectacular design. And your description makes me want to go to Natchez, when I'm feeling brave. This is top ten worthy !
