Chickens on a pebbly background for a 2014 calendar. Revised on 11/30/13 so that the casing/ sleeve for a rod/dowel will work at the top.
Design http://www.spoonflower.com/designs/2569642 is for 2015. I can redo the contest design for 2015 by request if you prefer it.
Designed for the 54 inch linen cotton. It will not work right on narrower fabric. The stitching for casing would come through the chickens and the casing would be about 3/4 of an inch wide.
Directions: Turn 1/4 inch on all sides and press (so the sides and bottom edges come to the black borders). Then turn the sides and bottom again along the edge of the border and press. Stitch in the black border. The top turned edge should be folded down along the black border and stitched across the black strip below the small chickens.
Set as a centered design for a 30 inch decal there will be a blank border all around. If you want it as a 15 inch decal message me.

An EGGsellent start to the year.

I did get the proof today, so it is now for sale at the 21x18 size for now.

Well, since I didn't get the proof ordered in time to get it before the contest, I decided to enter it now. I have it set at basic repeat now but after the contest I will set it to centered so that it can be purchased on a fq at 21 or 27 inches.
Thanks Rhonda, I just hope enough people like chickens. I don't know how big a niche it is compared to other themes. I drew these for the other chicken contest, but went with a third image for that. I tried adding grass to make it brighter, but it seemed distracting.
This would be a great calendar to make up and give as a gift to anyone who collects chicken themed objects and ornaments!
My latest calendar idea.
