Day of the dead - poncho & scarf!
This is for those of us who prefer something bright and jolly!
This should go over most peoples heads with ease - if not just make the central hole a tad bigger!
Designed with the Performance jersey in mind. This will be approximately 15" long when worn - so should hang long on smaller children, and elbow length - evening cape to go over a dress - on adults. Why not back the left over roses and paisley swirls with interfacing and make yourself a corsage too!
Just a quick thought - you could let your child wear the poncho and you have the scarf or else you could snaffle the lot!
if you would like two ponchos and two scarves - mail me and I'll adjust the layout to mirror... that way you won't have to seam the scarf at the middle.
PS: Although most of the designs in the Skulls and Roses collection are named with song titles - this, and the collection, is named after the Grateful Dead's album.

Hi Sylvie - Yes, it would - short and sweet. Perhaps I should do a version to fit on two yards... for grown ups!

It would make a cool Skirt hey! Oh Yeah I can just see it :-)
Thank you to everyone who voted for this - it is very much appreciated.
I have now adjusted the layout to the performance knit - so you can see the scarf too!

Thank you Isabella - so lovely of you to say so:-)

Yes, I've seen it too - looking good!
You've done it again, Moira ! Have you noticed that on the Blog page the Spoonflower folks had the good sense to use your design as one of the 9 in circles to promote the costume contest ? Check it out !
I bet that if you had a 24 inch waist - I remember the days - and only wanted a skirt 15 inches long you could wear the poncho around your waist!
But me thinks something more practical - and a bit longer - is in order.
LOL and a very lovely monster indeed ! And I bet by tomorrow or the next day you'll have that pattern up and running.
Oh No! I've created a Monster! I wonder how if I could do it as a cut & sew and on a yard? Hmmm...
I love it, I would love to see it in a larger scale to wear as an adult skirt, I would wear it in the summer, skulls are in, it would also be great in other colors, Great Job!
Thank you so much - it's nice to know that even a rebel can be a sucker for the sweet stuff
