Thanks. I appreciate your advise. These guys are just adorable. It's true, no sand makes them even more charming. NOTES on project: I still need to work through the "wasted space" on the fabric. I am certain I can get more shells. Also, I should mirror the image to ensure a true reverse on backside. I worked it out, but could be so much better.

oh, they turned out so nice! I love them all clustered on the couch here - they look like some child brought home all his beach treasures, only bigger (and without the sand!) cute!
These cuties are about 8"-10" each, and can make a big impact with their brillant color and endless call to nature. Some of them are sewn and stuffed and others are layered with batting and felted backed---giving them variation in texture and depth.
