A traditional representation of the star, Polaris, also known as Alpha Ursae Minoris or the North Star, which is located at the end of the handle for the Little Dipper or Ursa Minor (the little bear). The Polaris multi-pointed star is commonly used as an ornament and displayed here in the colors magenta, green, purple, blue, gold, peach, coral on a wavy blue field of randomly scattered stars.
