Though gas was cheaper than milk in 1952, the Cushman Motorworks of Lincoln Nebraska still advertised that their scooters got 75 miles a gallon at three quarters of a cent per mile. Exactly what that makes the price of gas in Nebraska, I'm not sure. I was good in arts, not maths. But this vintage Cushman ad belongs with a restored Cushman. And as for the guy riding on it? He decidedly belongs back in 1952. (file f200, #2406197)
