What if the French had colonized the Hawaiian Islands instead of Americans and British? This slightly tongue in cheek design combines the bucolic scenes of traditional european toile with imagery of Hawaiian tiki (ki'i), flowers, and other artifacts. If tikis can be used in mid century kitsch, then why not go early 19th century as well!
