Collection: Christine's Vase
I love all things natural; birds, fish, flowers, bugs, dirt, you name it! I love to create things with paint, paper and fabric, and I am delighted to be able to add surface fabric design to my list of joys.

This design was created for the Kuler Spaces contest. The color palette was taken from a photo of multi-colored carrots and beets.
The palette that I used to create this design was made using the Adobe Kuler app; here is a link to the palette:
The background check pattern is one that I call "Herringtooth" (mainly because I got mixed up between Herringbone and Houndstooth). I plan to make it available by itself in several colorways and at different scales.

Christine's Vase #3 on basic cotton. The colors are in good agreement with the preview, although the (pale green on yellow) background check is more distinct than this photo shows.

Thank you so much, Jan! I just ordered a yard of this to make a tablecloth, and I can't wait to see it.
The Herringtooth is quite cool (and great name)! Nice floral - very pretty in the yardage view!
Thank you so much, Julie! I used that same rounded flower bud shape for my "small scale shoe design" for this weeks challenge.
A very pretty design! I love the rounded flowers!
Thank you so much Rhonda, Amy, Tara and Mary! I am excited and very happy that this collection is getting such nice feedback!
Fab design, love it all, the whole collection, and what a gorgeous photo!
Really pretty design and pretty colors! Your photograph looks yummy and great!
Lisa, this is so pretty! I love the flower petals. I like your description of "Herringtooth", a happy accident I'd say...lovely!
It is great to be able to view the inspiration photo for the Adobe Kuler app palette choices. This photo of a tumble of richly coloured tasty vegetables is a great resource for palette selections!
Thank you so much Rhonda, for telling me about the bad link. And for your lovely comments! I am going to buy a yard of this one on Cotton/Linen to make a table runner, so I am anxious to see how it looks printed onto fabric!
Here is another link to my inspiration photo that I used for my Kuler color palette.
There is a feeling of vitality captured in this attractive tossed pattern of pretty floral motifs. I love this whole collection of wonderful designs, Lisa! You have derived an eye-pleasing palette for your design. Unfortunately, the link to the photo seems to be broken, so I was unable to view it.
Thanks very much, Moira! My first impulse was to do a design based on beets and carrots, but I was feeling "all veggied out" after dealing with my real - life garden bounty!
I like this - textured back ground included! Lovely colour scheme - who'd have guessed ''beets & carrots'!
Thank you very much, Tina! That means so much to me! I was unsure about the background, but it did need something.
Very pretty! I love the textured background!
Thank you so much, Victoria! I am liking this contest a LOT more than last week's challenge (dinosaurs).
This is the photo that I used to create my Kuler color palette: fresh picked, multi-colored carrots and beets and onions with fresh herbs, ready to be roasted in the oven! Yum!
