A distant memory...
...when I was twelve I went up to London with my best friend Kit Fung Chung. Her Father worked at the Gallery Rendezvous in China town. It was Chinese New Year and after the staff had served dinner for the rich and famous guests, they prepared their own meal. We ate with them - in the kitchen - and we started with Dim Sum Goldfish floating in a clear soup with green noodles - and yes, they had peas for eyes!
here I have the goldfish against a soy coloured back ground - it shows them off better!

Dim Sum - the collection
Goldfish - up close and personal!
Great idea Marian - is there a year of the fish? Quick google check... no, what a shame... could still be great though. Yes, definitely a bold accent!
I really love this. This would make a great holiday banner for Chinese New Year. Or a simple wallhanging for a bold accent.
Thank you Charlotte - so lovely of you to say so!

Thanks Sylvie - so very pleased it got a Wow! I've entered the other goldfish design for the contest - I was torn between the two! Stories are so much better when they are true.

Wow, this is gorgeous Moira.. don't know if I could have eaten those fish though :-) They're so pretty! I love the story behind this.
Thank you Rhonda - you do say the most lovely things!
This is a beautifully presented feast in an eye-catching design! The goldfish, pea-eyes especially, looks amazing! The tale in your description adds to the enjoyment of the Dim Sum illustration, Moira!
So pleased you like them Amy - just making little adjustments here and there can make such a difference!
You can see the goldfish even better in this one!!!
Oh, love this one too! Fab, fab, fab!
