I've increased the scale by about a third since this photograph so they're more of a guide to color than scale.
Thanks so much Cal for your lovely comments, I'm really taken with the patterns these make and now I'm dithering about which to use for my 'quilted' bedspread...
So beautiful Su! LIke a warm, rich quilt I just want to throw around me. Makes a lovely wallpaper too.
I like how this pattern looks in wallpaper - seeing it as a warm and cosy nook or a book-lined study, with a fire blazing in the hearth...
Thank you Deborah, Rhonda, Sue Ellen and Sharon for your lovely comments and feedback, VERY much appreciated! Deborah I totally agree about the wallpaper - I just fell in love with it when I saw it on the walls, and I can't stop imagining it on a bed (I'm going to try a mockup soon!). Sue Ellen thanks so much for your feedback on the stitching detail - it took me quite a few tries to get that to work effectively so I was so pleased to read what you said!
This is really gorgeous and cozy!
I love the stitching detail!! It adds yet another textural dimension to this already visually rich design.
I can see this design being used very effectively to give a warm and cosy, vintage log cabin, glow to a room! :-)
Fantastic, Su. I looked at this in the wallpaper. Dramatic, but not overwhelming. And I like the texture.
