Thank you Victoria, Rhonda and Motyka! I appreciate your notice and comments! I love the bug beauty salon!
Posted about 3 years ago.
Fun and fanciful antennae make wonderful swirls of movement in this pattern.
With their fancy trailing tendrils of antennae, these ditsy crickets look as though they have just returned from the bug-world beauty salon! They look quite cute rather than creepy!
Great movement! It's very elegant.
Classy stuff! I like the subdued colours
Celia, I laughed when I read your comment on Facebook because I totally understood! I always thought crickets were cuter than this (sorry crickets!!)
Now you know how I felt designing for this competition Robin! My first crickets were black too and looked like cockroaches. It's all in the color and your lovely flowing antennae!
Ha ha! Maria I almost passed on this one too because my earlier crickets were black and they looked like cockroaches! Kelly, thanks for the antennae notice...trying to give the little critters that extra beauty boost!
very nice - love the colors and the antennae and the overall pattern!
Looks great Robin!!! Challenging is an understatement!!! Each time I attempted to research what a cricket looks like, I kept imagining them crawling around my feet! Had to pass on this one! LOL Good luck to you in the contest!!! :)
Wow- thanks Virginia and Samarra! I don't do a lot of ditsy patterns and I found the cricket theme quite challenging so I especially appreciate your comments on this one.
Ditto, Robin! I second what Vo said!
Fabulous ditsy! I really like your work; it's so solid and always on theme.
