Super adorable! I love the design and the flocked or embroidered look.

This is so elegant and I love the colorway!
Such sweet colts just getting their balance! They look very Etruscan.

Thanks, Kelly and Boo, for the nice comments!
Fantastic work, your skills with textures are really shining in this charming design. Great base illustration to start with and the work you've put into to building it up into something so rich is really evident. The colours are stunning too.
so cute - they look like newborns just standing. And I love your colors and textures - great job with the raised edges on the horses!
Thank you, Sarah M. and Moira. I actually drew my own textures to emulate stitches and denim/twill weaves, and made them in several different orientations (each one turned 45 degrees more). I like to create textures that work in repeats that I am likely to use because (1) the photographic textures that come with software often don't have seamless repeats and (2) it becomes tiresome to try to find just the right textures to work with. And of course, I work in lots of layers and different styles of transparencies to build up the effects.
I love these to pieces... the colours, the textures - looks like denim all worn and crushed like an old pair of jeans, with worn studs too - fantastic, never mind the strangely Athenian looking colts with their wibbley wobbley legs! It's ll totally Brilliant!
Oh I love these! The slightly raised effect feels like embroidery to me - well done!
Aww shucks, Jasmin and Rhonda, you have me blushing now. Frisky is good, I was going for frisky colts.
The capricious, frisky nature of foals is evident in this delightful design!
I meant to leave you a comment ages ago, but life (outside of SF) was messing with my brain too much for me to attempt to make sense! I love this design and the texture treatment give it a real tactile feel. You have really captured the colt-ish youthfulness in the images of the horses and they have this dynamic feel that makes me imagine they have mischief on their mind. I am always impressed when a designer can create such energy and character from something that begins as little more than a sillouette.
"Horses with attitude" - I like that and to have gotten design love from someone who's not a fan of horses, all I can say is wow - thank you. Thanks, Lyell, Janet and Ottomanbrim!
Wonderful texture and I love these horses!
I'm not a horse fan and didn't expect to like any of the designs, but I love this one. A great colour scheme and such perky horses!
The horses have attitude! And I love your technique on the background, too.
Thanks, Amy and Sigrid!
Very attractive design. : ^ )
Love those pretty horses!
