Sir Edward Glen seems to be winning the heart of the lovely Lady Beatrice, who he has admired from afar for weeks. Hopefully their relationship matures quickly, grasshoppers only live so long!
Thank you for looking!

Thank you! It can be hard to appreciate the love stories of grasshoppers while they munch away at the vegetable garden. Lucky for these two, my vegetables aren't my main concern this year!

You make grasshoppers likeable! Sweet design.
Oh, the story continues - yay! Please convey my best wishes and congratulations to the happy couple at #16 Undermushroom Manor. Looking forward to the crickety cousins!

What a great story!
Thank you! Not to be too graphic, but I about pooed myself. I'm very much looking forward to the cricket contest, they're pretty fun to draw!

I think I'm going to do a happy dance for getting #16! Yippee!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The whimsical tale of Sir Edward and Lady Beatrice is told with gentle humour in these charming illustrations. It makes a delightful design that can be used in dressmaking, home decor and quilting.!
Hi, Jan! I am pleased to report that the cricket clan is indeed planning to make an appearance in the upcoming ditsy contest. It may also interest you that Sir Edward did succeed in winning the heart of the lovely Lady Beatrice, and later that evening they retired to a more private location underneath a mushroom. They were married last week (and even invited me!), however I haven't had the pictures developed yet. Thank you so much for your kind comment, it really lifted my spirits this morning!
I'd love to read the story behind this inviting design... and to have a picnic atop a sunflower! Love your idea and the way you've carried it out! I have high hopes for Sir Edward Glen and the Lady Beatrice; might their ditsy cousins, the Cricket clan, be invited around for a wedding (and contest) in a couple of weeks?
Thank you very much, Pamela and Lisa! I had so much fun making this, and I was hoping it would come across as a children's story.
Your delicate illustrations bring to mind children's books from a long time ago. I love your humor and illustration - nice storytelling in a design
Love this adorable design, and your gorgeous, bright sunflowers!
