Everybody knows about the import success of Mercedes and Volkswagon in the post war car sales boom of the 1950's, but there were other German cars imported from Europe into the USA. Unless you had one, or a neighbor of yours did, you probably don't remember the Borgward. Offered here, is a little blue one on a light yellow background. I am guessing the year of this family station wagon is 1957, but it could be any time in that approximate era. They made model changes, but I am not sure if those changes happened on a yearly basis or were closer to evolutions (like Volkswagons). In any event this little orphan Borgward is ready for mother to take the family grocery shopping on the time warp streets of automotive memory lane. Scale of the cars is about an inch big for fabric, but larger (think Hot Wheels scale) for the wallpaper, decals, and gift wrap. (frame 2141249)
