30 years I've worked as a fine artist, scenic artist and prop master and have enjoyed working for many major theme parks and movie studios. Now retired, I've always wanted to work with my own cloth designs. Now I will

Skulls and skeletons in a white hot flame with exploding yin/yang. Bwaahahaha! I had so much fun making this Macabre fashion design. Having done haunted house scenery and makeup for years, there were a lot of great memories coming to me as I worked on this digital painting. Not to mention my own Halloween costuming and escapades. lol I never did anything sweet and sexy for a costume. Oh no it was the most disgusting, macabre monster I could muster up and that's pretty sick. I always won something when I went out for best costume but I didn't push it and just relaxed and had fun. Sitting at the bar with my buddies was a trip for them. They had a real hard time looking at my rabid dark side as I tried to play the part. lol I was a much better make up artist than an actress though.

Thank you Sylvie! I actually have a day of the dead collection you should check out here. http://www.spoonflower.com/designs?look=three&number=72&view=63521
Dia De Los Muertos is my favorite holiday. I have some wonderful souls that have moved on from this world that I enjoy honoring in ceremony and have been doing the posters for our local celebration for the last 4 years.

Glad to see you are coming over to the dark side Krystalon. Bwahahahaha. I have always been a fan of bones and skulls. As a child my grandmother bought 580 acres of land in southern Missouri that hadn't been lived on for 100 years and built a home there. You couldn't take a walk without finding an old animal skull and often I'd come back hauling a sack full. I ended up donating most of them to my college art department for people to learn to draw from but still have some great ones. I also made my living as a scenic artist which meant every fall my job had me creating haunted houses and haunted house props that went around the world. Today though, thanks to movies like Monster Inc. and shows like monster High all this kind of stuff is getting more and more everyday and you don't have to be a biker to wear a bit of macabre. So glad you stopped in dear and thank you!
I love this design.. going to pin it to the Day of the dead board!! :-)
I must admit...at first, I didn't think that I would like skull heads for fashion, but...as I come across them, they are really cool! I dig them!
