Description:

Design by Rhonda W. © 2013. No Aussie Outback adventure is complete without a close encounter with a princely frog!

Aussie Outback outhouses have long been a favoured haunt of jolly green tree frogs and other fauna! Alas, some poor soul had such a shock when the friendly but cold hand of fate touched them on their shoulder, that they left this outhouse without first opening the door! The door was knocked off it's hinges, thus leaving this wildlife sanctuary as a "Room with a View"! This is an original hand drawn design by Rhonda W. © 2013.

rhondadesigns says: I am glad you stopped by to look at "A Room With a View", Cathy. Thank you for your thoughtful comment. Many an Outback outhouse has become the home of a creature who thought it was a wonderful safe haven in which to live! A wise visitor to these "little houses" will first check for other inhabitants before being seated on the "throne"!;-)

wren_leyland says: Ha! They do get a little overgrown; and one always wonders if an animal's home is being invaded. Cute scene.

su_g says: This is so charming Rhonda - I love every detail! The tree through the back window - with a frog on it of course! The pot plants, the stone work and all the other charming textural touches! I can just imagine this hanging as a work of appropriately themed art in some rustic outhouses... (which are hopefully a bit less breezy!)

rhondadesigns says: Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful comment, Carole! I think I could probably write a book of humorous short stories based on anecdotes of close encounters with wildlife when one is most vulnerable!! ;-o)

scifiwritir says: Oh my gosh! Now I feel as if I want to see this in a storybook. I love it when a design paints a picture of a whole story and makes you look around for the other characters and other scenes in that story world. pages

inscrib...

inscribed_here says: Rhonda, I just had to come back for another giggle! This hilarious design is full of rustic flavour and nostalgic charm. The antique colouring is perfect. So clever of you to create such a wonderful, sun-drenched effect with only flat colour. As well as the humour, I love the ambiguity of the title. The frog, plastered to the window, raises the question of whether the "view" is inwards or outwards. Both versions of this design look fantastic. I was looking at them side-by-side on the collection page and couldn't choose between them.
