Corroboree frogs go deco in spring. Each is different as their markings are unique, like fingerprints. Entry in the Frogs Contest. © Su Schaefer 2013
Corroboree frogs go deco in spring. Corroboree frogs really do look like this - dashing in black and yellow - and each is slightly different as their markings are unique, like fingerprints. My entry in Spoonflower's Frogs Contest.

Thanks so much for your great styling suggestions Susan, I really love the way you imagine this being used!

Great colors, design, rationale; would be wonderful in velvet for an opera coat over a slinky mustard-colored chartreuse column. I wish I was rich!
Proofing print on basic combed cotton (daylight photo).

Thanks so much for your wonderful comments Janiece and Deborah - you have totally made my day. This is one of those designs that I've never been sure about, but after not looking at it for a while and then getting the proof, my feelings changed... now tinkering with the scale & may do a mockup as that often helps me visualise its use better. Thanks again for your helpful comments!
PS It's a design that will make people look twice.
Hope you have great success with this design, Su. You've incorporated frogs into a wonderful art deco pattern. This combination takes the design to a whole new level. I know I've commented on this design previously but saw it again on my studio home page and was struck again by how lovely and intricate this design is.
You had me at first frog on this one Su. Really fun!
Belated thanks for your nice comments and helpful feedback on this design Isabella, by the time I finished it I wasn't that keen on it anymore... your comments have helped tip the balance & I've decided I will get it proofed now, so thanks for that!

This is wonderful, Su. The detail of these frogs looks fabulous in close-up and I love how the pattern works at yard-view, too!
Thanks for your great comments and feedback Shirley, Vo, Deborah and Tina - very much appreciated!

What a beautiful repeat! I love the combination of patterns and the deco feel!
Watched the video. Such a beautiful little frog.
Ah, you've managed to turn a frog into art deco. So cool and I really like the colors. The yardage view is fantastic.
Fabulous colors; it's great to see fun, wild frogs in fabric!
This is striking! The frogs AND the design.I would love to see the little creatures- hope they can be saved.
Thanks so much Katarina, Rhonda and Sylvie - and thanks for looking at the video Sylvie, they are tiny little frogs and there are so very few of them left, I really hope their work pays off too - just to watch them spooning the teeny tadpoles out makes you realise how precarious the whole situation is. I very much appreciate the feedback.
Su, I think this is a wonderful idea! I went and had a look at the video.. those frogs are so cute and tiny. what a shame they're also so endangered! Lets hope all the good work pays off and they recover. Your design is fantabulous! :^D ~ Sylvie
This striking design is a great way to draw attention to this amazing amphibian and the fact that it is such a perilously endangered species.
