Fireflower - Sue - woke up one morning thinking - Kitchen Rabbit! She said I'm sure you can do something with that' - So I did!
Once upon a time there was a rabbit, no one knew his name but he was known as the '5ct Kitchen Rabbit'!
As you would expect - from his 'non de plume', that is your actual French for Nick-name, he lived in a kitchen and slept in a very old enameled saucepan. The kitchen was in a house where the people had moved out many years before and it had been left - a capsule in time - so there was no fear of anyone accidentally turning on the stove and cooking him while he slept! After a good night's sleep he would get up - bright eyed and bushy tailed - as all good rabbits do, and get him self washed and dressed in his best hat and carefully pin a small leek - when in season - to his fur coat. In the early spring he'd wear a daffodil of course. Oh, did I forget to mention he was a Welsh Rabbit - I am sorry! Each day he would eat carrots - his favourite food - and if he could have five, his favourite number, well then he was a very Happy Bunny!

This rare Welsh bit of a bunny tail is illustrated so very well in this enchanting collection of designs, Moira!
Hi Kim, thank you for the vote of confidence - it will boost his ego no end!
What a wonderful " bunny tale". He is such a winner in all his incarnations!

Hi Jill - Hurrah! He will be pleased - but I must be careful it doesn't go to his head!

OMG Lisa, how you make me laugh! Fireflower - Sue -has suggested I create more illustrations and write more short stories then turn them into a cloth book... just need some ideas!
Brilliant story! I love it!!!! I especially love the part about pinning the small leek to his coat, when in season. As I was reading this, I suddenly made the Welsh Rarebit connection, too. (Duh.)
Not only modern folklore but a legend in his own life time - I have written down his story so all will know about the 5ct Kitchen Rabbit!
Any suggestions for other design title are very welcome! ;-) M
So it's modern folklore! (These folk tales have to start somewhere!) Anyway, it created a wonderful concept for your lighthearted and eye - catching design.
LOL Lisa! Fireflower Sue work up one morning with 'Kitchen Rabbit in her head and said I'm sure you can do something with that - so I did! So glad you like him!
What a cute idea, Moira! And I love the name. I am not familiar with the Welsh folk tale or story, but you can fill us in on it! Love the graphic clarity and the simplicity of this design.
