Oh Marian - I wish I'd thought of handbag or gym bag - brilliant ideas! It would print so brilliantly on the 'Modern' canvas... both hard wearing and lovely a bright!
This is just plain gorgeous. Wouldn't this make a stunning handbag- or a gym bag, to carry your towel to go swimming.
Thank you for the lovely comments Jan!

Very striking! The bold, checkered lattice and black background play up the delicacy and sense of freedom in your elegant drawing - lovely!
Thank you Julie - I'm very pleased you love them!
Wonderful design! I love the combination of patterns and your lino print is lovely too!
Thank you Paula!
Lovely Greek designs, love your lino print too and that colour is fabulous!
Thank you Isabella. I tried to get as near to terra sigilatta as the technology and my palettes would allow.
How marvelous! This design has come together perfectly. Your colour choices were spot on.
Thank you Rhonda - I'm very pleased that you like it!
There is a marvelous feeling of spontaneity and exuberant movement in your wonderful design, Moira!
Thanks Sue, so glad you like the serpentine border - it too was on the original lino print, although I nibbled away the edges of that image, to make it look like a broken old remnant of a Attic Ware plate or bowl. When I did the print I worked it so that the serpentine joined up in the circular border... so that made things really simple when I did this - hence the fairly quick turn around on the design.
Wow Lisa, yes it really would be cool on an ancient artifact! This design was based on a lino print I did many years ago - I was going through a black and orange phase - I was also making ceramics at the time so the connection was already there. I out to upload the print for all to see! Thanks for that!
I love the serpentine border you've used on both straight and circular portions of the designs in this collection. such exquisitely simple elegance!
I just looked up terra sigilatta on facebook (and learned more than I expected to!), but now I get your reference to the earthy color that you chose to use here. Excellent choice! Now I am imagining your story - telling design being placed all around the surface of a vessel or a vase like an ancient artifact. Wouldn't that be cool?
