30 years I've worked as a fine artist, scenic artist and prop master and have enjoyed working for many major theme parks and movie studios. Now retired, I've always wanted to work with my own cloth designs. Now I will

This design looks just as you see here. crisp clear lines with just a bit of burn out of my texture on the orange color. I tried to fix it but all my fixes made it worse as I refused to give up my texture so I offer it to the market flawed yet still beaut

OK I figured it out and it was so simple. I just cloned the good parts of the orange into the burnt out parts and wa la. A flawless design. Obsessive? Maybe but I'm of the mind it is fine to get sloppy with your art if your intention is to do so but when your intent is precision then get it done. I love happy accidents and have been known to roll with them many times if it was an improvement to what I thought I was doing. This one didn't make me happy though and now it is fixed and ready to wear. Can't believe I didn't think of cloning before now though. lol

Sydama, I had a drawing teacher like that. He was scandinavian, We were friends outside of class even went to parties at each others houses but in class he was strict and demanded respect and got it. I remember one day this hottie I had started dating came by the class and the door was open. He threw some flowers in and hit me upside the head when the teacher was showing me something. I got the big evil eye and just as he was opening his mouth to tell me what for a girl in the class yelled out come on George, did you see how hot that dude was. It disrupted the whole class but only for a second then it was back to work. He taught us all a lot and I consider him among the top 5 great teachers in my life.
I remember my old french/italian design teacher allways told me"Susane, I like your ugly drawings best". When I tried to make perfection she shouted" You waste my time, and you waste your time, you have 15 minutes to do everything one more time from scratch" . We became really good friends, because she opened our eyes and was very intuitive regarding all her students. When I close my eyes I can still hear her french accent, shouting and demanding respect for divercity and creativity. Regarding your design, this one is art by accident!
Thank you Motyka. I figured there would be some who didn't mind a little grungyness on the fabric. Only after trying for hours to make it perfect did I except it's imperfection. I make a bunch of grunge design but they are meant to be grunge. This one wasn't meant to be. When all else fails you roll with it. lol
Deborah is right, it's stunning as wallpaper... and amazing fabric..love it! :^D Sylvie
So beautiful! The texture on the orange is lovely, and the colors are spot on.
Thank you Deborah, I've got a lot of hours in this one. I'm glad you like it.
Beautiful as a wallpaper. Wow.
